Successful day at Galloway Gundogs Buccleuch Test

Had an excellent day at the Galloway Gundogs tests held on the Bucclech Estates up in Dumfries. I managed a win with Ellie in the puppy class. She's been close with two 3rds and a 2nd this year so I was chuffed to finally sneak a win. She performed admirably. 

Ria managed to take 4th place in the Novice class after a couple of blips, but I was happy how she went overall.

Fern, despite only having pups 7 weeks ago narrowly missed out on 1st place in the open spaniel test. Having scored 70/75 in the first three tests, 17 or more out of 25 on the last test would have taken the win, however, a miss-mark on a dummy cost us and we dropped to 2nd place.

The only consolation was that the dog that came out on top was actually Fern's daughter Meg aka Amberquest Coco of Brownburn. Great to see our pups doing well but it's the last time I loan Andy Brown a whistle if he's going to start beating me!!
